we had a baby shower for la on sat. it didnt really go as planned... but it was fun nonetheless.

she's now almost eight months preggers.. sgt cepat ok!!

n we were with her thru it all.. from the time she got married.. smpai la skrg dh nk jd mak org ok!

kak in had to work over the weekend so she sent cakbina over sbb grandmama n grandpapa miss their only cucu so so much!!

n since my parents had a wedding to attend. i brought her along

she went quiet in d midst o d shouting and screaming... terjejut kejap.. normally dia org paling bising.. rupe nye ade org lg bising dr dia..

she went hysterical wen d clown came near..

n i iced my 1st cake!!

ive made a lot of cakes but never one dat was carefully iced n nicely made for a party.

its simple but im proud o it :)

in keeping w d duck theme i stuck sum rubber duckies on - washed w organic veggie wash prior to swimming on d cake. belum pro enuff to make my own ducks yet

i had a glee marathon all of yesterday. i did not get out o bed till 7pm. dats PM ok. i got up pretty early.. well late for me. early for most. and just laid there watching one episod after another of glee. n i gotta say, those dancing singing kids really make me feel like breaking into a song and dance routine everytime a crisis arise.

anyway come night fall i got into d kemas2 mood and took out d entire contents o my bureau and tried evrything on. well tried my work clothes on la. and lo n behold!! clothes dat used to hang off my boney body are now so tight i  can barely breath!! gemok sgt okk!! i tried on most of my dresses n skirts! and wen i was done i was left with about as much confidence as a peanut.

n no matter how much i moan n cry about it im not gonna loose dis mak cow body. crying doesnt burn much calories. nor does whining. i gotta get off my ass and stop cooking and do sumtin about it. starting tomorrow im gonna hit d park and go jogging straight after work even if it means doing it in my heels. ok im gonna change first but im so gonna do it. swimming once a week just isnt cutting it. plus berendam at night always gives me the flu n a bad headache the next morning. n ive frozen my gym membership yet again. no point in paying wen i go once in 4 months.

i wanna lose at least 5 kgs so gudluck me!!

and with age comes...

i used to be able to eat like a cow and not worry about weight gain AT ALL. sum ppl say i shudnt be worried about my weight, dat im fine just d way i am. but i beg to differ. i used to b kurus ok. i mean kurus.. like kecik.. now im not so kecik anymore.. im finding more n more new sections of flesh on my body that i prefer not to get aquainted with- coz i dont want to have them for long. or at least i plan not to.

im getting older. im not shedding the weight as fast as i used to. back then all i had to do was not have appetite for 2 days n dah kurus. skrg sbulan xmkn pn stil mcm hippo kot?? not that ive tried not eating for a month... n acne scars on my face no longer go away in a week, they take forever!! n that is if i religiously apply bio oil twice a day!!

wats happening to me???

i hate getting old... for the ladies out there, we need to start using anti ageing products on our faces if we want to maintain ur skins elasticity. keep those wrinkles at bay for as long as we can ok. rite now i dont make up as much as i used to. wat am i saying?? i DONT wear make up at all unless im attending a wedding or going sumplace nice. i dont put on make up to go to the ofc anymore coz i prefer to sleep longer. but i never leave the house without a good moisturizer and sunblock. EVER. dermalogica's intensive moisturizer works like magic n simple's sunblock is great without feeling heavy. i wash my face twice a day, unless i do some heavy cooking, then ill clean it 3 times a day. do not overwash ur face. dryness leads to wrinkles. pick a face wash that is PABA free. Kiehls is great! i love their face wash! cleans without drying. always have sunblock on, bkn sbb takut gelap but u need protection against UV rays esp now that the days r uber hot!

n the utmost important thing is never go to sleep without washing ur makeup off. i dont know how sum ppl do it. i couldnt sleep w make up even if i tried! xselese kot!

for hair- hair pon kne jaga ok. nnti get grey hair. n split ends r just gross. have regular snips to avoid these. or change ur conditioner- this may b a reason for ur split ends. n dont expose ur hair to too much heat eg. curling iron, hairdryer. im guilty for this but i ensure i spread on sum heatprotection and i do a home hair treatment once a week. try alken hair prods- superb! im in love with their shampoo and treatment mask n serum!

ok tibe2 concious dgr ke-sloppy-an sendiri so this post is really one for me to convince me that i havent truly let myself go..

i saw someone a couple of days back at a mall..

n that sumone had put on a considerable amount of weight..

a VERY considerable amount of weight..

and due to our... history.. i was ecstatically happy to see that this person had gone fat!

well till i called sumone else to confirm n dat person sed that d sed person was outta town so it could not have been that person.. must hv been adek dia kot.. oh well.. happiness was short lived- but was great while it lasted! haha!

i was late getting ready this morning den i turun n started d engine n realised i left my tuition books upstairs. lari naik den saw ooo water bottle.. better bring in case i get thirsty in d car sbb so hot.. den turun.. n realised i did not get my books den naik balik amek books den br masuk car..

then i left my hse n realised i didnt have enuff in my touch n go to reach cyber. so i decided to go to d BHP stn near my hse sbb ada maybank atm thr. so pg la... i parked rite in front o d entrance.. thr was a lady at d machine so i waited den realised i left my T n G card in d car. wen n got it den another lady came in like 0.003 seconds b4 me n used d machine. ok fine.. tunggu lg.. wen it was my turn.. i put my card in d slot n it got rejected.. apakah??

so im back at work. i havent missed much professionally. the company's still running strong. im a little behind in the gossip column tho. like ohemgee, who's getting married and who tipu to go out on a date, and  who's secrets are out in d open. i mean really. if u look close enuff, the ofc is like a neverending soap opera! n i feed on gossips like a bunny does a juicy shiny bright orange carrot! yes im shallow like dat. dun judge me ok. sumer org suke gossip. jgn xngaku. nnti i throw shoe at u.

anyways. as expected, sumpah liat giler nk masuk ofc ok. after being on leave for 2 weeks of course la kn. but super xcited to c d babes!! penyampai gossips ok. mesti la xcited nk jumpe.

i wanna tell u abt dis crazy incident i had a few days back. i went out after dinner to get d form 3 literature book i needed for my tuition. we went to SBL in ss2 (kedai 'must go' every student within 3 km radius o SBL) pastu! i went in and it was nearing closing time and thr was a small crowd o mostly moms buying stuffs for their kids. i asked for my book n waited. then i heard all these ladies (satu kedai sume pompuan ok) screaming n shouting in panic!!

i jumped on the book shelve dlm mase 0.07 saat kot!!! i has no idea wat it was! pastu tibe2 nmpak mickey mouse (punye cousin) running for his (gross so i assume laki la) life! w d SBL tauke chasing after him w a (if i remember correctly) pink plastic broom ready to strike!

u can imagine d chaos w all d ladies screaming while sedare mickey ni ran over their feet. tu lah. nx time naik bookshelve w me ok? but seriously. i almost died! xtipu k.

apparently d rats moved in over the long CNY break n had a feast muching on the carpet and books. rats jd pandai kot dh mkn books. seems there were 3 n they were chasing after it all day since morning!

d 2 part time girls who worked there looked ready to pass out! dey sed~ dah xlarat kak dr pagi lari2 mcm ni! hahahaha!! ksian!!

P/S: i miss lazing in bed till 10 watching tv n having lunch while watching csi..

mine turned out rather diff from what i had planned

here goes

on wed i got up n got ready for work

showered n got hair n make up done

then i felt a terrible pain in my lower abdomen

thinking i needed to relieve myself

i went o the loo and... *nothing*

sat on d throne a while more and still.. *nothing*

by then i was writhing in pain

so much so that by the time i left the loo i was in so much pain i could not stand

i crawled on all fours and dressed myself

papa took me to the doc who was looked abit flabbergasted herself

she finally sed- im gonna diagnose u w fud poisoning, although it cud also be ur ovary, its very tender around the area

so i went home n took my meds n went to sleep

wen i got up d pain was so intense i nangisssss

ouchh

so we went to the hosp whr i was put on a wheelchair

promise sakit smpai knot walk

d gynea checked me n sed- i had a hemorrhage in my ovarian cyst

which essentially means my cyst was bleeding on the inside

hence the intense pain

he admitted me n sed he wud give me meds n hope it will b ok by morning

pending which i wud need surgery should the meds not work their magic

so i was admittd la..

esok pg doc sed i needed surgery

he told me at 9am, surgery was at 11am

i was strangely calm..

i remember being in the OT

brilliant white w bright lights

very sureal..

i remember being injected w a very strong pain killer that made me cough n very light headed

n made my eyes go out o focus

n a hand putting a mask on my face

pastu loooooooong sleep

bgn2 perut dah ader 3 lubang!!!

n evryone was so sweet to me!

he took wonderful care of me and my darlings were there for me

thanks u guys.

so now im recovering

tomorrow i hv to go in to get the stiches out

still hurts

esp wen i walk alot n/or sneeze, cough, laugh too loud or go over pot holes wen in the car

Food review: Kitchen Creatures

with its flashing lights depicting a toothy bug eyed monster holding a fork, kitchen creatures is hard to miss

located in centrepoint bandar utama- formerly manhattan fish market, kitchen creatures is a must try place

its main concept is no frills dining, ur even encouraged to eat w ur hands! but thankfully- the food dat came did not call for that

the decor was simple with a lot of huge round paper lantern-ey lights, u kno the kind they have in ikea? LOTS of it! so much that u could hardly see the ceiling

for starters we had  the baked stuffed mushrooms which was stuffed with crabsticks and shiitake flavoured cream cheese- this was good but got abit jelak o this towards the end

then we also had the baked mussels with bechamel n cheese sauce- i love shellfish of any kind so its kindda hard to go wrong but they could have done better w d bechamel, bit too floury for my liking

for mains i had the sizzling ribeye steak- it came drenched in its own jus which i loooove. ok jap mase nk order this- the creature (dats wat they call their waiters) who took my order was so bengap! i asked for bbq sauce pastu he was like b...b....q...?? erm... b....b.....q...?? yes yes yes bbq! ok seribu tahun ckp bbq smbil tunjuk menu pon xpaham2 lg. pastu ckp nk medium well lg la xpaham at all. ok sumpah treasure. den he called his manager. ok finally ada org pandai ber-communicate thank god.

ok tp steak was good

n he had chicken ala king- sedap sgt i swear! its chicken sauteed w mushrooms in light sour cream sauce gravy. it was mixed with heavy cream but the sour cream balanced it out so it was good without being overly creamy. this was served with buttered rice.

ok we had ice cream dessert at tutti frutti afterwards so no dessert pics.

kesimpulan nye- pls do try out kitchen creatures at centre point. good food, great prices, wonderful location- ill def be back!!

well today we found out bugsy (d boy hamster) isnt such a little boy after all

suffice to say they have officially consumated their r/ship

the last few days have been rather productive for moi

i took to the kitchen and made sum wonderful love handles inducing goodies!

i made butterscotch ice cream (my fav) from scatch!!

i even made the butterscotch myselff!!!

and ayang (ayun's mind u) actually thot it was haagen daaz!!!

then i made trifle for the tahlil

and muffins!

chocolate chip and marshmallow yum yum

and i lastnite i made blueberry ice cream!!

n u dont even need an ice cream maker!!

d first batch was a disaster

d whip cream split wen i mixed it w heavy cream

so 4 d nx batch i only used whipped cream

n i HATE mousse that is mixed w gelatine

like eeeewww

so i didnt put any in mine

d disasterous 1st batch didnt go to waste

taste wise- it was delicious!

cume texture wise it was weird and kindda icky

but affiq and jj ate them

4. the amount of shoes my 2 feet has

5. having a dad who brings home an insane amount of chocolates

6. having sumone who doesnt mind satisfying my thai tomyam cravings everyday eventho it makes him want to pengsan

7. the guard on my thumb that keeps me/ people from bumping into it and causing it to swell n sakit like hell

9. not having feet as large as kak in's

i decided against resolutions this year..

saves me the guilt of not sticking to it

coz i never do

if i had a resolution

it would probably be to get my ass in the gym

to be a better driver- tho i think im pretty fab at it already *haha*

and to control my spending

but since i dont have resolutions this year

xpayah susah2 ok

but i do have one wish this year

not a resolution, but a wish

to visit a country ive never been to

with frens pls

and the career change i was talking about

i decided against it

tho joining it may have been a wonderful platform for me

i feel after all that has happened

i need something solid

that doesnt involve me gambling my future

something that would not and could not be wavered by political winds

so i declined what could have possibly been my last life line into the world where i belong

but its ok

ill survive

i may feel a tinge of regret now and then

she was rather disappointed w it, pillars jatuh la, colour xcantik la- i dont know.. i was mighty impressed by it!!

anything that is homemade and is taller then birthday girl gets my vote!

on another note- i went on a teambuilding organised by IBM at pullman putrajaya recently

like how tebal muka i can b! esp wen in desperation!! i practically robbed a contractor of his ladder! n forced a hotel worker to give me his big huge blue basin!!

but it wasnt in vain!!

we won 3rd place!!

granted we werent champions but we were the ONLY all girls team AND there were like 24 teams altogather!!

how great are we???

we also had to eat a cabbage, 2 garlic cloves, a bittergourd, and a HUGE onion!- all raw mind u!!

that was all part o a 'ala amazing race challenge' dat we won 3rd place!!

n i also scored 3 goals for my team in one o d challenges!!

who wud hv thot i could even get one goal? let alone 3?

b4 kickin d ball we had to place our forehead on a short pole n spin around it 7 times

n as soon as u angkat ur forehead, u has 5 seconds to kick d ball

so nxt time i play futsal, i shall spin around a pole w my forehead stuck to it 7 times..

den mayb i get a score or two

and did i mention we won 3rd place??
