FIRE!!

So the fire alarm went off today while we were busy working. my first instinct was 'wat the toot' shaddap!!! then i turned to my collegues who were all looking around in bewilderment, unmoving for 3 seconds before continiuing with their work. haha i swear if the building really was on fire we'd b toast! - pun intended.


the fire alarm is located (so thoughtfully) right by my workstation. like im deaf or sumtin. so wen it rang, my brains shook. i turned around to face my collegue who then saw my new dress and commented (in shouts mind u) on its lenght and the material, all the while the alarm was blaring its bell head off.


such safety concious employees we are.


and i got a call from my fren down below who was in the nursing room asking if she should save her breast pump and ebm.


a few minutes later (after breaking my eardrums) the alarm died down, and we heard an announcement. there was a ting ting ting ting (ala airport annoucement) telling us it was a false alarm.


i never knew our office had an announcement machine.. hmmm wonder whr its located...

provocotive pressies

u know the weddings i went to?

i gave one of the couples a very special gift. to be utilised in private. discreetly. and was never supposed to be opened in public.

i wanted to personally give it to the happy couple but due to many reasons, i cudnt. so i put it along with the others on the mound, but not before whispering to the bride of the contents and warnings of care.

the nx day i got an excited giggly call. turns out the box overturned and the content of it fell out. on to the floor. in the living room. of the grooms home. where his entire extended family. not to mention frens. got an eyeful. and a wonderful conversation about it all.

i thank god i was not thr.

my mistake for not sealing the box. but in my defence. its a pretty pretty box. not meant to be sealed.

oh well.

it would b a good wedding story to tell anyhow.

rocks socks

so ive been working pretty hard lately.. i dont think i have... bt i must be coz the keys on my laptop keyboard are coming off like a 90 year old drunkard's teeth.

the caps lock key came off sometime before puasa n i tried hard to fix it. i tried to clip it back on slowly, i rammed my finger on it, i whacked it with my palms, i painstakingly tried to use my giant fingers to fix it - to no avail.. then a couple of weeks later, the }] key came off. u kno, the one next to ur P. i dont really have any use for it but i still tried to fix it albeit with much less enthusiasm then caps lock. of course, i cudnt..

ok it wasnt dis byk but it looked like this... minus 30...

then yesterday! lo n behold! A came off!! A!! how can i live without A!! when im typing id constantly miss the tiny little baby micro mini button whr my A was n 'Please make neccessary changes ASAP and update me' wud end up 'Plese mke neccessry chnges ASP nd updte me'.

unable to live without A, i finally called the IT dept. so malu ok. while evryone else was down with cases of software malfunction, and inability to connect to wireless n lotus notes problems, i stood thr with my laptop.. missing 3 of its teeth.. but i needed help.. plese..?

the lady fixed A with a jab of her tiny fingers to which i went -*waaa so terror mann!! (i embarass myself sometimes)* then she tried to fix the caps lock n did all that i did above n turns out sumtin sumtin was broken. the {[ key pon broken.

she asked me to log a formal report yesterday and today- i got a brand new keyboard installed! it was so fast!

Mating season

So this month has been filled with weddings! its like the mating season or something.. dont get me wrong i love weddings but it can be a little exhausting sometimes...  between choosing between wanting to give money or presents and if its the latter, what to give, n then theres the clothes. what to wear with which shoes n what clutch or purse or handbag. n the sun has been unforgiving this past few weeks. i feel like im living in a desert sometimes. i get really bitchy when its hot. really really bitchy. esp if im kept waiting outdoors so a certain someone can burn his lungs (and mine) smoking expensive cigarettes. dats when the green eyed monster emerge.

so back to wedding. these are among those i attended recently. all beautiful do's but due to time constrains n utter exhaustion, i didnt have the time and strength to fully enjoy these weddings.
