Prince Charming

growing up. most girls i know had an extensive list of 'criteria's' they wanted in a man they were to marry. which girl has not had numerous discussions with their girlfriends about how they want their guy to be

1. Rich- mandatory criteria this one

2. Handsome- another major point here

3. Must be a prince and/or an actor and/or an heir to a major company, hotel, business or all that i have mentioned.

4. Romantic

5. MUST be a gentleman

6. Generous and caring- by generous i mean buying me gifts every other day, or everyday im not picky

Thats all i can pull so far off the top of my head. But the problem with setting criteria's are that we set the bar so high up, most of us will never meet anybody who meets all that. Sure we'll meet that guy who is as romantic as Heidi Klum's husband Seal and good looking to boot but of course he's a casanova so be prepared to share him with a slew of girls.

The gentleman who opens doors for us and pulls out our chairs are unfortunately shorter then us. And princes, heirs and actors never even look our way.

As for the shower of gifts. I guess practicality applies. Unless ur marrying the list of people with titles above, i doubt you'd be showered with gifts on a daily basis eyh? JJ called me from adelaide 2 weeks back all excited! he was telling me that he got me sumtin. my ears perked up like a kangaroo imagining handbags or well... a pot. thr's this pot which i was eyeing but even at the outlet store its like 1500 MYR. his voice was all cute and excited and he went-

"i bought u... plastic bags!!!"

"you can marinade chicken in it and bake it IN THE BAG!! like throw it in the oven along with the bag!!

"how awesome is that!!"

*crickets chirping*

i laughed my a** off!! here i was imagining designer handbags and expensive le crueset pots and he was so excited in an almost childish way about this plastic bag it was soooo cute!!!

he's arriving tonight for a short break and i cannot wait to see him!! i cant pick him up at the airport unfortunately coz im reading tonite. so i'll see him tomorrow and i will def bake him that chicken in the bag.

he is most def not the romantic kind either but he surprises me sumtimes. and i prefer this arrangement to the romantic all the time kind of guy who can be rather suffocating at times if u ask me. with him, since its so scarce, it becomes really meaningful.

i guess the man im marrying does not meet my childhood list of criteria but i believe in this phrase i once heard.

when two people are crazy in love, they dont sweat the small stuff
