cold on a rainy monday

Its raining out.. i love this weather... so so love... just not when i have to drive 50 km's thru it just to get home.. work is crazy today.. m blogging between requests just to keep my sanity... like the guys go down for a ciggie break... i blog... or blog hop.. least my lungs dont get burned up..

cakbina is down w fever n i almost cried watching her being given her meds coz she cried n cried n cried like so terseksa!!! i held her w baby medicine dripping off my shoulder, silently apologizing for making her sick.. till i found out her cousin on the other side has been sick but still played w her! heppp!!! marah budak tuh!! make my cakbina sick!! babappp!!!





the house is beginning to look like a home now that renovation works are almost done... thank god siap before puasa!! i always feel like fainting wen i have to clean up during puasa! ok drama bt really lah!

La is married and is now a mrs. n no more a miss... im gonna miss miss la.. bt im so happy for her! i went bhome early so i missed the photo session but i grabbed her as i was leaving n got one shot... one n only! gorgeous bride she was!! mwahhh!!! countdown dah abes dah... d cepat pg outstation!!! nk girls nite!!




yeay my baju raya siap today!!! well at least one o it... my tailor totally abandoned me n i hate him for it!! so i am now tailor-less...my life is over i kno... so ive been sending my clothes everywhr to find the perfect tailor... so its one here... two there... another one here... fingers crossed!!!

horror filled nite

omg sumtin terrible happened tonite!!! terrible giler!!!! omgggg!!! just thinking about it makes my skin crawl n head spin!! i was sitting home alone.. quietly fb-ing w d tv on n watching ghost whisperer which was a not so good idea sbb takut since im alone.. plus my ears were blocked n head is like a pressure cooker waiting to meletup- ok janna wats ur point?

anywayy!! i was quietly minding my own business wen i heard d ruffling o wings eeeee geli nk matiii!!!! ok rupe nye d lipas which i tot i had gotten rid off wen i littered my room w d 2 boxes o lipas repellant yg i nk pegang ponn geli. ok its just like plastic pieces bt wen i tink o their functions n how dey would attract lipas den kill dem i jst want to die..

whr was i? yeah i scattered dis repellant pieces under my bed yg tinggi and xde pape under it to avoid gross things like lipas..under my almari.. yg also xde pape... blakang my tv...atas my aircond.. btween my bookracks..basically everywhr... pastu lega sdiri thank god lpas ni msti xde dh.. boy was i wrong...




i was sitting like a nice girl minding my own business wen dis raksasa flew (eeeeee bygkn pon geli sgt!!!) down from my aircond n melekat kt my curtain den went adventure walking up n down d curtain's lipatan! n no one was home!! i couldnt scream n have my adik or my dad rescue me (walaupon slalu kne ketawe n kadang2 kne kejar w it i hate tau...) i ran in circles... i really did... b4 i realized dat i was gonna hv to do dis myself... n its my room!! my curtains n my aircond!!! d lipas had to go..

i grabbed a can o roach baygon (d one w d yellow straw like thing to ensure roach deaths at hard to reach places) n rolled a newspaper n was ready for war babeh.. i masuk balik bilik but dah xnmpak en lips... den i heard dis scratching noise coming fr behind d astro decoder omg dah masuk blakang tuhh!!! so i sprayed my weapon randomly all d while d scratching sounds were getting louder n louder n more intense mcm omg ape ni spray2???

it finally came out n i sprayed with all i was worth!!! newspaper dah entah ke mane sbb geli nk dekat n phobia en lips crawl up my hand den i die

omg it turned turtle n den nazak... a while later..mati dah..

sigh... malam2 nk perang... penat tau...

gonna catch a breather now... all dis activity is too much for my barely recovered body...

we went to dis massage place dat yuyu suggested n had a full body massage.. sgt heaven ok??? us girls were in a room separated by curtains yg we pulled back so bole sembang.. syed was in another room but we could hear him being 'manhandled' by feng d masseuse lelaki whose english vocab consisted o d word 'harder??' n nothing else.. so communication was non-existant save for the hand gestures that was equally immpossible to understand..

d one hour full body massage cost rm55 which is pretty cheap to me considering how much spa's r charging for it.. beratus okk??? pluss! tpt ni mmg cater for the working crowd so it closes at 1am even on weekdays! yeay bole pg after work! we went at about 9 lastnite n thr was hardly anybody but wen we left at 10 dah ramai makcik2 tgh buat foot massage n stuff.. best sgt! era pls pegi ok!

i was knackered by the time i got home.. trus pengsan ok??

system is currently down at work n i wan to strangle d org postal service who has my bag!! give it to me already!!! ketuk u!!!

We finally went to c harry potter and the half blood prince lastnite. wasnt xpecting too much after reading reviews o the movie which was kalau exam la kn... org kate cukup2 makan je. it was rather slow.. tho romance was in abundance... won-won (Ron Weasly) and lavander- his icky gf (gf ke?) who couldnt keep her hands off him.. n poor hermoine (who's on love w ron btw- wat does she c in him??) was trying to make ron realise her feelings for him, but ron being the thickheaded nitwit dat he is of course mmg xseda lgsng dan xakn sedar if it hit him in the face pon.

bt dey provided good humour. terjejut part was wen ron mistakenly took the love potion spiked chocolates dat was intended for harry (mak kate jgn curik brg org c now ape dah jadi??) den harry bwk him to c prof slughorn who cured him den gave him a glass o mead (wine) to calm his nerves.. he minum a gulp den fell to d floor mcm pengsan. i was laughing hard den tgk2 rupe nye he was foaming at d mouth mcm omg sakit sgt xle nafas n all!! rupe nye mead tuh was poisoned n was intended for dumbledore.. so basically ron took the fall for both harry n dumbledore in one nite ok?? poor ron..

nk tau lg go watch it ok? ok la... albeit being a lil on d slow side... La (Nazila) fell asleep 3 times throughout d movie.. but dat could be due to another reason.. which i will get into now.. ok go downstairs to nx para pls

hello agn.. ok b4 masuk movie mary n i went to the ladies.. pastu tgh jln tibe2 omg nmpk sale big huge throw cushions!! so after dah relieve ourselves (lpas gado ngn mamat cleaner yg xbg masuk tp nk jgak kenot tahan lah!) we went back to the sale place n i was contemplating whether to buy or not d giant cushions den i pon buyy!! hahaha!! since our movie ended at 11 of course la shop dh tutup so like kne buy now kn??




so dat was how we ended up w 2 HUGE cushions in the movie theater yg mcm block org blakang n mencucuk kpala org dpan... La peluk cushion smpai tertido coz it was rather cold in the theater n for once, none o us brought our shawls (bile bwk panas... xbwk je dan2 sejuk)

we slept at la's sis' place for the past 2 days helping her prepare bunga pahar for her upcoming wedding omg dh dkat giler!!!

ok gamba ni xde kene mengene but i luff her smile here... ok i luff her smile everywhr bt dis one esp so!

grill-less and confused...

i got home yesterday to d sight o a mound o sand n some bricks strewn over d front o my house.. i muttered to myself 'sape lah buat rumah suka hati jer campak sand n bricks dpn our house..haishhhh' while reversing in my car... den wen i got down i heard voices coming from d tepi rumah. thinking it was my dad on his daily flower picking excursion (for my mom) i pon pg lah carik papa.. den i saw bricks.. or rather walls... lotsa o walls in place o d former grills i grew up with at d patio!

aaaaahh!! mane grills!! ader bricks yg br 1st stage nk jd walls n lobang2 besar n no grillsss!!! omg omg omg!! n it was already 7pm so workers dh balik so mlm ni tdo xde grill only ader door je! omg takot,, omg makne nye kenot arm alarm!! i went in n saw mama who looked harrassed. she sed.. have u seen d patio??

i sed.. no... coz its not there.. mane dia pg??? mane grill?? (wats w dis obsession w grills janna..i dont know..) we have been discussing renovation on d patio but never seriously coz my mom always wants d most expensive n most gorgeous stuff n my dad, being d practical man dat he is, malas nk layan.. so weve been pretty contented w d grills.. n now its goneee!!!! mom sed d contractor came n she went upstairs to change.. wen she came down d grills were goneee!!! omgg!!

since we slept without alarm last nite.. papa improvised and made his own alarm... comel x??

Do we need men?

I read an article in the star today entitled 'Do we need men?' by Tanya Gold that intrigued me. What would it be like if there were no men around??

wud there be war??
if u ask me, the only place war would likely break would be at the shoe section during the clearance sales. hell hath no fury like 2 women fighting for the last pair o stilettoes with a 50% price slash.

traffic??
wud probly be even crazier den it is now as, well no offense ladies, bt we really arent the best drivers around... traffic lights would be pink, baby blue n pastel yellow

travelling??
would be a breeze cept for the fact dat we would be reduced to carrying our own luggage.. n we can bring as many barang as we wish without men breathing down our necks n taking out every single thing we put in. also, we ALWAYS ask for directions so we dont get lost! (since many of us dont really kno how to get the GPS working...) but then agn d only ppl round to ask r women... so... ermm... moving onn!!

safety??
sure we wouldnt have strong macho men to look after us, bt then again, we also wont have them to terrify the life out of us! no raping, killing (ok save for the tiny tiny handful o psycho women out thr) robbery, snatch theft. the list goes on n on n on...

work??
we would devote the bulk of our days to shopping and pampering.. the workday would begin at 10 and we call it a day at 2 pm.. early enuff to make it for that facial appointment den shopping n dinner w the girls

but then.. who would surprise us w a super awsome present wen we least xpect it? or layan our (stupid) karenah n still love us for who we are? or take us out for fancy dinners? who would hold our hands wen we watch a horror movie?? or appreciate our cooking? who do we call wen we have car troubles?? and who do we fuss over??? theres no deying the fact that we need men in our lives.

weve had cakbina over for the past 3 days n im so loving dat little dim sum so muchh!! weve jst realised how tiny she really is.. she's goin into her 7th month and she still wears 3 month old baby clothes.. sgt kecik k.. n shes got large feet bt tiny ankles so her shoes keep slipping off.. ok dat n d fact dat she loves kicking them off!

kecik tp soooo kenot duduk diam okk!! its sooo memenatkn to chase after her every minute o d day coz she just cant sit still! wen she's crawling about she's constantly on d look out for stuff to put in her mouth, or knocking her head sumwhr, or chasing sheeba si tua yg takut dgn dia bcoz she makes loud sounds. n wen she's in her walker she's banging into everything she can hit. mcm bumper car!

her fav food now are remotes.. astro remote, air cond remote, tv remote, dvd remote, u name it she loves it! she likes handphones for dessert. she seems to find pleasure in covering them in drool n bite on them w her toothless gums n spitting dem out and biting on dem.. again... n again... n again..

am totally loving sunday rite now.. i actiually had bfast in bed... while watching tv.. den munched on koko krunch dat i keep in my room for survival at times when i just dont feel like dragging my a** anywhr.. pemalas nyer...

smlm went out w dayah coz i havnt seen her in ages! mule nk lepak kt rumah... den pk pk balik... i havent been out since forever- oth den work of course.. told her i was avoiding malls n d dangers dat lie within d sales.. den went to d new mall near my house! hahahah!! ok bt x shop k! good girl!!

gsc dia best xde org! we watched ice age yg i mmg nk tgk gilerr! d downside o watching a 3-d kid friendly movies is the fact dat d cinema will b packed w kids o all ages. from toddlers to kids to tweens to teens.. n kids being kids~ they make sounds and noises and talk during the movie... narrating as the movie goes on.. n dey go on n on n on....n on n on n on... narrating to their moms.. n dads... n basicaly anyone who would listen... asking for opinions.. or just scream- for no reasons in particular.. oh well... was a wonderful sequel to ice age 1 & 2.. i loved it!! peaches comel nk mati okk!!

we went to tony romas to celebrate affiqs bday last week.. n yesterday i followed my parents to tampin for my baby cousins aqiqah.. baby comell sgt!!

Had a wonderful weekend at melaka w d girls! we headed thr straight after work on thursday and took the day off on friday. sampai2 trus g umah dol (la's fren from school) n she took us to this seafood place yg sedap n murah okk! we had sotong, big fish, siput2 and ketam bakar yg sedap smpai nk pengsan! dah kenyang we balik n watched dvd.. ok last2 dvd tgk i... coz i was tired from work n d drive n mkn mcm mak badak so trus pengsan..

d next morning we had bfast at jonker st at this place dat i love! superb baba nyonya food and cute setting.. kindda like stepping back in time.. w all the antiques and d open air courtyard.. very quaint.. old melaka style... i like! anyway! dol had to work, her real name is farah but since la calls her dol.. we call her dol :) dia baik! we luff her!

we went to a spa dat we discovered while walking from the car to d mkn place.. omg! best giler ok! mary n i opted 4 d couples package... i couple ngn mary ok.. while la had d 90 min massage. our package consisted o a foot soak, massage, body scrub, body mask, shower and a drink.. era best ok!! mary n i shared a room sbb i takot pastu tgh tunggu mask to set i sembang ngn mary only to sedar later dat i was talking to myself.. minah tu dah gone as soon as the lady left us... apadah..

den.. on our way back we took a wrong turn pastu tibe2 nmpak salon!! ok ape lg! benti n had our hair washed n blown! *bliss*

den we mcm penat sgt sbb full day n we had roti terbang which is basicaly just superbly delicious roti canai den balik konon nk tgk movie... n agn movie tgk i... i lupe nk mention yg we tgk movie on lcd so ala2 tgk movie at d movies bt sambil baring.. dol is an avon manager so she has to tot around this lcd thing for her speeches n stuff..

lg satu.. we borong so byk avon stuff ...byk giler nk mati ok.. for free!! coz she's d manager n she rocks!

d next day we went karaoke!! sumer mcm lupe diri kjap! twas funn!! n after 3 hours of non stop screaming.. we were hoarse to say d least... tgk balik video baru dtg kemaluan... nasib baik it was jst us...

b4 balik we had an asam pedas lunch den balik amek our bags den trus balik... i came home to an empty nest coz my dad was flying n mom went to send ariff back since semester dah start... left d tv on sbb takot.. garang je lebih!

i had a wonderful time :)

hope we can do it agn bt w la getting hitched soon... highly unlikely kot?

Im down w diarrhea and a bout o vomiting and an hour ago developed a temperature.. was supposed to go to ipoh for my cousins tunang bt w me having to run to d loo every half hour... and papa in a rush to get thr.. not pretty pic.. i dcided to forgo the trip and recover here..

needless to say i had to take an mc.. went to the doctor who immediately diagnose me w food poisoning as soon as i sed d word diarrhea.. even after insisting that i fasted yesterday n d only meals i had were homecooked by my mom, the same food everyone had.. n no one complained of any illness.. oh well...

anyhoo.. i watched tv to pass the time and turned on the travel channel and saw this family whom anthony bourdain was visiting (sape xknal anthony bourdain he's a very famous chef w an attitude.. kindda like Dr. house.. bt d chef version) anyway.. they were in the kitchen w a a dead anomal o some kind.. turned out to b seal.. ok so den dey proceeded to slaughter dis seal n begin eating it... raw... bloody bones and raw meat and all... omg... nk muntah kot.. blood was literally dripping off their chins.. eeeew... so gross!! n dey gave anthony d eyeball... again raw... he pierced it w a knife and sucked out d goo.. at which point i almost died...


den dey handed him d liver which he sed was nice.. i almost died again.. den i terus changed d channel coz it was just tooooo eeeewey to watch.. dun get me wrong im a pretty advanterous eater... bt i draw the line at bloody animals eaten raw in the form that they are..ie a dead seal looking pretty much like well... a dead seal all bloddy in d middle o d kitchen floor is a no no... its inhumane if u ask me..

bt apparently its a normal thing in some parts o d world.. ok... bt no thank you...

R.I.P

Its been three days since we found out of the passing of our dear fren apit. He died in an accident. I spoke or rather chatted w him a couple o months ago and he told me that he had gotten a job in bangi and had been working for three months before his parents fell ill. He quit his job to go back to penang to care for them. That is the sort of person he was. Ive heard the saying, 'the good die young' countless times before. Now i truly know the meaning of it. God loves him more.

i wish i didnt have to work today.. i got up dis morning n sat on my bed contemplating calling in sick... its dat time o month n i dont feel so good.. wat i wanna do is curl up under the covers n listen to britney songs (pre- slutty britney pls) and b covered in yu yee oil.. aaaa best nye...

i also seem to be suffering fr mild amnesia dis morning... i cant remember wat ive done n havent done... mayb sbb work di selang- seli kn w blogging n fb-ing kot? watever..

on another note...i look like a total makcik today.. or mak org.. i didnt feel like coming to work much less dressing up for it... first time dtg keje xkuase nk bersiap.. i pkai baju dat i normally wear to send my bro's sumwhr... or to the market...grocery shopping.. u get d idea.. wen i walked in sumone look up n w a eeew-ey look on her fce went... u look... comfortable.. haha! bless her for being so polite... i look like crap... i kno..

Ohana means family

Its been a long time since the whole family got together to go sumwhr.. I think post cakbina dis is actually our 1st time! We took a short trip to kalumpang. Sgt short… overnite je… bt we had so much funn!! This is cakbina’s 1st time masuk sungai!! I don’t think she njoyed it very much tho.. being the pampered baby dat she is tiap2 kali mandi msti nk warm water… ok dia baby mmg patut warm water pon!

Bt it was funny watching her…dip her feet in the water n she chuckles, dip her up to her knees n she stares at u w dat ‘what do u think ur doing?’ look… dip her further up to her belly n she kerut’s her forehead.. if u still dare go deeper den b prepared for the wail that is bound to escape her drool covered baby lips! Comel sgt!! We had fun dipping her in n out and in n out again n again n again!

As soon as we arrived papa being papa does wat he always does since I was a kid.. tangkap org paling ringan to throw into the pool… it can b anything.. pool/ sungai/ laut… apa sahaja… I was once thrown into the freezing cold sungai while on a camping trip…at 7 am… while I was sleeping… kejam or wat??? Tele-dera plss!!

Since kak in xsmpai lg… plus she has dat ‘im a mak org’ xcuse goin for her..so I was next in line.. n me being me.. will not go down without a fight.. so I did wat any self-respecting LEO would do.. and that is to pull ur opponent down with u.. by force or otherwise… I picked the former since he was obviously not gonna jump in willingly kn??? So as papa was dropping me in..i yanked on his shirt like my life dpended on it! Which at dat time really did seem like it!! Air tu sejuk okkk!! Den grabbed on to his kaki n pulled him in.. wallet… handphone..n all! J aaaahhh…. Victory… tp kn!!!! Lpas tu kann!! Papa sakit lutut!!! Aaaa!!! Sbbhe knocked his knee mase jatuh masuk pool! D haze is driving me crazy… im goin outta my mind driving to work in the morning n watching the unheathly looking orange sun rise unhappily above the horizon… den im stuck in an air-conditioned room for 8 hours before driving home watching the same sun looking just as sick as it did in the morning…blanketed by a miserable grey haze that smells like smoke and gives me a headache… makes me wanna scream sumtimes!! i took a pic bt apparently haze dun show in camera's..pemalu kot..

On another note, our performance for the IST launch went splendidly! I was a lil sceptical about doing a choral speaking, I mean the last time I heard of it was when I was 15! But we did! N we did well!! It was xactly as I wanted it to be! Short! Funny! Entertaining! N most importantly, not boring… or draggy.. we got a huge round o applause and a standing ovation from our boss Lauge! Performance lain dia x bg standing ovation ok! Hehe!! c me forgetting my lines in d pic below!! haha!! kne refer script!! make shame ony!



Den had lunch at cyberview lodge sumtin or other..x igt.. beautiful place tho! Perfect for a small wedding! Went by shuttle bus the company chartered specially for this event.. naik bus kejap je pon bising giler!- got me thinking.. klu pg trip naik bus reramai msti best gils kn?? Xpe! We have a trip coming up kn girlsss!!!

I need to stop wearing heels that could potentially cause osteoporosis or make me fall flat on my face or break my back.. Seriously. Everynite I come back with this ache at the ball o my feet.. things is… I got myself a lovely pair o flats and they hurt my feet worse then my stilettos! Apakah??

Bt really… I do need to start looking for more sensible shoes or I might I end up w ugly deformed feet in 2 years time if I keep this up.. AAAAAAAA!!! *shrieks and hides under bed and pengsan's thr*!!! Tamo tamo!! ok fine it wont look like dat... kot... pls dont!!! pls pls pls!!! bt its not good.. for my tulang n posture n wateva nots ok.. gross! ok seriously its making me nauseous... im sorry owner of deformed foot...

Yesterday marks the end of 5 years of studying for me and my frens.. 5 long years of learning about all things mass comm.. about frenship.. love.. and life..

We've come a long way from the freshies we were back in arau, dat much i can confidently say... who can forget the long nites before an upcoming exam (mase degree dah xde long nites dah..tdo je pedulik la finals ke ape ke xkesah dah) the non stop eating from sun up till sun down.. the fights.. the tears.. the love we found and lost along the way...and the bond we built between us... :)

I have grown so incredibily much in the past 5 years i cannot begin to tell u all.. i learned i didnt need an entire box of detergent to clean 3 tshirts... that insects are attracted to wangi things.. that walking from the hostel to class in heels really is a bad idea.. that the grass isnt always greener on the other side..that people will talk no matter what...that the unexpected does happen...i learned to seperate frens from foe..and that frenship lasts forever..

As i reminisce the times back in arau wen we were so young and fresh.. i remember us being all optimistic about life. how naive we were then..comel pon ade! haha.. yuyu was my first fren back then.. i was taken back by how loud she was! kuat gilerr ok!! terjejut i! dh la br jumpa!!

i didnt get much pics fr yesterday coz by the time d ceremony ended i was too tired from hobbling around in my gorgeous killer heels..emphasize on the word killer ok.. plus we didnt have lunch save for the chicken wing we had in the hall... yes ppl... we had chicken... in the convocation hall...in our robe.. note to pak guard : nk samann??? samannn lahhh!! (dah abes blaja bole action ok..haha)

To mass comm class of 2008 i bid u farewell and goodluck in all you do. We will always and forever be mass commers at heart! Always! I love u guyss!! mwahh!!
