Tutorina

ok i know its been forever but ive been so busy with work and d stupid system that keeps on dying on us. and then theres d tuitions. and babysitting cakbina. she's at the terrible two stage so ive been pretty preoccupied trying to keep  her from burning the house down. just yesterday i got an asthma attack from laughing too hard when she wrestled me to the floor, trying to stick her finger up my nose.

its going pretty well with tuition, cept for this one student i have who's quite a pain in the butt. her younger sister, whom i also tutor is such a joy to teach. she's not the obedient kind but she doest rebel like her sister does. ill make her read her novel out loud and explain it to her later and when she gets tired, she stop and say 'teacher.... tired...!' and shove the book under my nose and go 'ur turn, now u read!' and grin. so we actually took turns reading and explaining the novel. i wud make her explain each chapter thoroughly to make her understand thestory as it unfolds. ok i actually wanted to write about her rebelious sister. they come from a broken family and are living with their mum. its sad but i have a feeling this rebelion was somewhat a result of the broken marriage. she would cancel classes almost every week. she'd text me and make up sum lame excuse. a quick call to her mom would reveal that the mum had no idea whatsoever of the daughters 'illness'. another friend of mine who teaches her accounts also has the same problem. so i have a class with her tonite.. part of me is hoping she's gonna cancel.. hehe.. but a part of me is also waiting to pounce on her of she does. oh well...

also is it mean that i bring all sorts of chocolates and treats when im teaching the nice little sister to munch on while i teach, and bring nothing for the kakak when its her turn? well in my defense, she makes this really rude 'so what' face when i teach and it takes all of my strength to keep myself from slapping her. and i thought it was gonna be a pretty and pink year coz ALL of my students are girls. but i do count my blessings that she's the only rotten apple of the lot. the rest are perfectly A ok.

I just hope all the effort will pay off like it did last year. it felt like winning the lottery when that spoiled brat, who used to fail both subjects i taught, got A's! hearing his mum screaming her thank yous made all the hair pulling, body slapping, (yes i hit my students sometimes) and raised blood pressure (on my part)- worth it

bread story

OMGG!!! byk nye work i can pengsann!!! ok im not procrastinating ppl.. system is down at d moment so i blog lah!! not much is happening in my life.. still dream of losing weight.. i swear this ageing thing does not bode well w me. i mean d way my metabolic rate is goin ud think im 60! i mean u used to be able to eat so much n stay d same weight but now!! haiyo.. i went to a wedding the other day. i woke up in d morning n immediately tried on clothes i wanted to wear to d said wedding. EVERYTHING FIT!! sum was even loose-ish u know! so i was uber happy and packed my stuff to go to his parents place to have lunch. we were gonna get ready and push off fr thr. after doing my hair n make up- he ironed my hair ok comel x!!- i put on my baju and i cud hardly breath!! i mean really how much cud i have grown in the span of 9 hours!! its crazy!! i love looking at myself in the morning before i shower... i avoid looking at mirrors before bedtime to avoid self loathing..

Discount Queen

Of late ive been addicted to discount sites. I find myself religiously checking all the sites i know everyday... ok dats a lie... a couple of times a day in hopes of finding good bargains. I have had some pretty good buys but i have to admit these discounted meals often skimp on ingredients and are more often the not- reduced in size. which is fine by me but my other half who eats like a dino may disagree. anyhoo!! today i went to milkadeal.com and got us a really cheap roller skating package!! remember roller skates!?? they came before roller blades!! roller blades r near extinction now n roller skates are like fossils!

These discounted sites often offer cheap hard to resist buy. and people like me- who cannot resist a bargain often fall victim to their ads. which reminds me- i still have two body spa vouchers that i purchased 2 months back.. my point is.. eventho these sites offer cheap buys- it does not mean we have to hog it all!! be smart and try to seperate the really good ones from the 'ok ok only' ones. like this one meal set package i bought last month. promising juicy steaks n all. what i actually got was a piece of thin meat so dry and tough if was like eating an old slipper. and the dessert promised, turned out to be tapioca tapai swimming in strawberry flavoured milk- yes milk. served with ice cream. we ate the ice cream n left the rest. but we got a buffet once that was really satisfying and it was a plus point that we were one of two couples dining that nite. it was like a private buffet. we kindda went a lil crazy w the food and could barely walk to the car afterwards.

so remember guys. next time u want to go crazy on these sites, do a websearch on the restaurant ok! or spa place or watever k!

here's a list of discounted sites which i frequent

Sugar spice n all things nice

So i have been mulling over what to give as wedding favours for some time now... i think ive gotten the reception favours down pat. but im not sure about favours for our solemnization ceremony.. i kindda want to make something myself since there wont be too many guests, so i guess it'll be manageble.

i wanted something personal. something i made myself with love, from my heart. i scratched out cookies coz it has to be made fresh n there is no way im gonna slough in the kitchen on the day before my wedding, also, its rather dangerous as id probably consume half of it n not fit into my dress on the day. so cookies r a no no. then i thought about sumtin else. dun freak out ok. i thought of making flavoured salt! brilliant!? no? well u kno how much i LOVEEEE to cook!? so i thought what better to show thanks to those who came then to give them something which is so me!? n i will def be doing a considerable amount of cookng after the wedding so.. perfect!!! kan?? i though of making like a salt rub so people cn bring it home n rub their meat n chicken with it and grill or bake it or even bbq it or even make stir fry's with it! genius idea!!

Kindda like this but with a narrower prettier jar

i also thot of making sumthing simpler like rosemary salt or thyme salt! u know it smells heavenly and u can sprinkle it on ur pies n stuff till i thot about how often msians actually make pastries and scratched that idea... i planned to make some flavoured salt, and some flavoured sugar n put them in pretty jars tied with pretty bows with labels on them. i was plenty proud of myself till i went n told mom. she shot me down like a bird with a simple statement- "eee.. meraban la"

I wanted to cry!! i had all these ideas in my head n all sorts of recipes for the salt rub n flavoured sugar n types of jars i was gonna use n all. wen she saw my face she went "ok. we can consider it. well discuss it at next dewan rakyat meeting". haiyo, im already letting her choose the theme colour, lemme have my salt rub la maa!!! xsalt rub pon xpe. we can make pretty flavoured sugar kn!? so now my idea has been submitted to the dewan rakyat, pending approval. mcm approval xkn dtg je... mom really wants the pretty cut out cookies that r all the rage now. i think they're rather common kn? not like salt rub n flavoured sugar kn??

bagi pokok kang... but pretty kn d pokok.. ok i also suggested giving these little plants.. n got the same meraban response.. i think mama should really try thinking out of the box once in a while...

The Sky is Crazy- Must Read

after 6 years i finally read the sky is crazy after putting it off for so long. when the book first came out to rave reviews i made a mental note to get it the next time i was at the store. but everytime i went, some other book would have caught my fancy and i would buy it instead and forget all about this book. a few days ago i was at borders getting a gift for a dear friend when i saw this book. again i had found another book which i wanted but after some deliberation, i decided to get the sky is crazy. and boy did i love it.

the book is written by a former stewardess (Yvonne Lee) who has since clipped her wings. her book tells of the hi's and lo's she goes thru in dealing with her job. i can closely relate to this book. growing up with a pilot father and an ex-stewardess mother i have heard countless stories which left my jaw hanging open at the absurdity of it all. from stories of ghostly passangers to those who got knocked on the head with a tray by a stewardess who was pushed over the edge and the time my mom was showered by the vomit of a passenger.

I loved hearing these stories. when my dad came home, esp from long flights like LA, we would all gather in the kitchen and await the bag opening ceremony, a much anticipated event akin to opening a treasure chest. we would wait with abated breath to see if he got us that jeans or top or handbag and the many bottles of victorias secret bottles that us girls would jostle over only to have mum swoop down n go 'ill take that thank u'. and dont even get me started on the chocolates! i loved the many types of m&ms he wud bring home in large bags that wud make a dentist cry. but my fav chocs came from frankfurt in germany. when he comes home from frankfurt i wud be the first to greet his bag him at the door and greedily sweetly offer to carry his super heavy luggage into the house and proceed to open his bag n get 1st pick of EVERYTHING! HA HA HA (cue cruella laugh)

and thr were those times when i was younger when i still qualified for the family tickets when we wud get free first class tix to anywhere in the world. i dont anymore but i vividly remember the time wen i stil did. it was luxury beyond compare for me, who really, if it wasnt for my dad wud never be able to afford such luxurious and expensive tix. return first class tix to london cost 25thousand. that is enough to pay for a down payment of a house. or half a car! and it was heaven. as soon as u boarded the aircraft, u r offered a drink (juices, champage, anything u like) then ur offered a selection of mags from all over the work, and wen i say all over the world, i mean all over the world. u hv ur harpers bazaar us, vogue italia, womens weekly from msia to nz to australia, O mag from south africa, hello uk, and a lot of business mag i have no interest or understanding in.

after take off and the seatbelt sign has been turned off, the crew starts their 1st meal service, wafts of delicious aroma wud escape the galley curtains and my tummy (which was full prior to take off) wud start rumbling. MAS's signature dish is their satay. n lemme tell u. u have not tasted satay till uve had MAS'. it is THE best i have ever had. BESTest EVER! after satay they wud bring about some soup. then it was my FAV part. the CAVIAR. i hv only ever eaten caviar on board coz i cannot afford it myself. the best quality ones can cost up to 200 USD a teaspoon. yes, teaspoon. they dont come cheap bt taste oh so good. well theyre basically cured fish eggs n some people cannot stand the fishy taste but for that price, id lick the bowl clean.

i have travelled coach (thats all i travel now! haha) and am quite accustomed to the meal trays whr everything is wrapped in foil n plastic, dont even get me started on the plastic cutleries. but in first class, the only thing plastic are the smiles worn by the stewardess who are tired and sleepy and really wish they were doing anything but serving u. mains wud b more luxurious food items like lobsters and fillet mignon steaks. i once had steak for bfast. apparently in some parts of the world they have breakfast steaks in the morning. i cud live with that everyday.

and the best part is when u get tired, one of the crew members will come over to ur place and turn ur seat into a bed. complete with bed covers n all. and the blankets they give, are dawn feathers, so sedap (available for purchase at MYR 268 ok). and! u have a foot rest that can come to u with the push of a button. like itll be half a metre away from u n u push the button n it will come like a good puppy. and can also be turned into a seat for ur companion shud u wish to have dinner togather. oh man!! i miss all that!! i gotta get rich.. oh n they also provide pyjamas for u to sleep in so ur clothes dont get crumpled. the jammies look like uniforms worn by mental hospital patients but lets not go thr...

Those foot stool will come to u like a good puppy at the touch of a button

Best sleeping spot at 35 000 feet in the air

i miss being young and getting free rides... n xpayah isi minyak coz ur not working n ur dad isi for u all d time... and not having to pay for meals.. oh how things have changed.. bt im thankful to have a secure job.. alhamdulillah..

ill get to telling u guy the ghost story later later on okie! have a good weekend peeps!

Tim's Nuts

so yesterday i uploaded a pic of a cake on fb. a cake that jj n i were in the process of pigging out on. when i say pigging out on. i mean- we had just picked it up from the bakers house and we were parked at a corner about 10 feet away from whr we pick it up and i found a diposable fork and spoon in the car which cakbina had been playing with days earlier. and we very ceremoniously digged in. and it was soooo good.. so so good. its a peanut butter banana cake. with layers of chocolate cake and fresh cream and peanut butter cream and bananas and topped with a dark chocolate ganache. OH EM GEE.. it was sooo good. this coming from me- who repel banana's. so not a fan!

eating a whole uncut cake with a fork out of the box was liberating.. it actually is something i had wanted to do for the longest time. i kno i kno. im embarassing like that but i saw a cake ad once whr this bunch of girls were eating this huge cake sans cake plates. just them and a fork. digging in to heavenly goodness. i wanted to do that too!! and jj was kind (glutton) enough to go along. so that was how we ended up on the curb eating a whole 8 inch cake to ourselves. and cake never tasted this good. i kid u not. u have to try it. put it on ur (bucket) list. now i can scratch it off mine :)

the cake is seriously good. i got it from fatboybakes. this cake we got is also known as Tim's Nuts, the cake comprises a choc biscuit base, a layer of peanut butter cream, bananas, fresh cream, chocolate cake and chocolate ganache. RM75 (approx 1.4kg)

Make me up make up man!

theres an old wives tale that if u have a bad dream, u have to tell it to people so it wouldnt happen. kn?? ke jgn tell? i think its tell.. so im telling!!

I have had this recurring nightmare it like 5-6 times since my merisik. its always in different situations but always the same horrible thing. it'll be my wedding day, and everyone will be busy doing wedding stuff, ill be in my wedding dress.... and my make up artist doesnt show up and i look all splotchy from crying over my missing make up artist and my hair is a tangled mess nobody can fix. i always wake up with my heart beating fast. everytime. and i would doa to god to pls pls pls let thr be no problems with my make up artist- for all three occasions.

a fren of mine once said. it doesnt matter how shabby a wedding is, but a bride must always stand out from everyone else. and i agree wholeheartedly. other then our life after marriage, what im really looking forward to is me getting all dolled up on our wedding day. i mean when else wud i get away with THAT much make up?? ok other then reading but that doesnt make me look pretty and princessy

but these nightmares are evil. i guess my subconscious is telling me that in my head, my make up artist is about as important as the juru-nikah. i hope hope hope all the horror stories i have heard of brides looking horrible on their wedding day and of make up artists calling in sick stay just as what they are- a bad dream.

Chicken with mushrooms and cream

ish this blogspot moodswings blowing hot n cold really irks me out. kjap2 ok kjp2 tak. kjap2 ticker kt atas kjp2 ticket kt bwh kjp2 ticker hilang terus. dont even get me started on the layout thats all over the place!! haih!

anyways! i cannot wait to get home today!! i have been wanting to make this chicken with mushroom and cream for-EVER but always seem to forget! wen i remember to buy fresh button mushrooms, i forget about the dish and make sauteed mushrooms with scrambled eggs instead. or cook it with butter and garlic n eat it with rolls. mmm... yummm... eh eh! focus focus!

ever since i saw amy adams preparing this dish in julie & julia i was hooked! butter! cream! mushrooms! chicken! wats not to love!?! i CANNOT wait to get home and get started! i even contemplated cancelling my tuition class today- bad teacher! then i remembered she has an exam tomorrow..

wen im cooking something, i actually get more excited about making the dish then actually eating it!- ok my rear end may give u an impression otherwise but i also eat out a lot so yeah. i dont eat much when i cook. unless its spaghetti. janna and spaghetti is a dangerous dangerous combo. i actully get up in the middle of the nite to go tinkle and get cravings. at like 3am. and i actully layan this crazy cravings. so id b raiding the fridge at 3am and eating a bowl of spag bol in front of the telly before falling asleep 10 mins later. hows that for unhealthy lifestyle!

so anyway! yes! i love the process of making something!! the going to the supermarket to pick up fresh ingredients! and cutting n slicing and zesting! i love zesting lemons for cakes! i love making lemon cakes coz i cannot get enough of the smell!! i never use lemon essences in my cakes- only the natural zest! i love it! eventho i have zested my fingers and hands along so many times i still love doing it! so worth the battle wounds!

i love love love cooking for people! and i live for the moment their eyes lite up n they go mmmmmmm!!! yummm!!!! yes yes i do like having my ego rubbed every now and then bt who doesnt eyh?

eh btw pls watch julie & julia if u havent yet. if that doesnt bring out the kitchen goddess in u then u def are a lot cause. i can get fat just by watching that. the cravings u get watching her create heavenly goodness out of pounds n pounds of butter is so wrong it has to be right! am i making sense? i cannot live without butter either. butter and garlic make up a huge part of my life- and my a**. i only watched it once, and went on a crazy cooking spree later. am afraid to watch it again.

so i cant wait to get home tonite! were gona have a little cooking date at home. im quite territorial when im in the kitchen- an issue im working on. hope the chicken doesnt come out pink!

this is the dish im talking about. are u drooling yet?

That little person

yesterday we took my beloved niece out for dinner. or rather, she forced us to.

i was beyond tired lastnite and wanted nothing but a quiet uneventful dinner and an early bedtime. this little person was dressed in her jammies when she saw me putting on a pair of jeans. she went 'nk pkai sluar'. i pointed to her pink jammie bottoms n sed 'na kn dah ade pants'. then she spilled water on her shirt and made a big fuss about the wet patch, asking me to get her a new top. i picked a sleep shirt for her, which she refused to wear, picking instead a levi's tshirt. i told her it was almost bedtime and that she should wear more comfy clothes. she insisted- very persistent dis girl, wonder whr she gets it from.

once i put the shirt on her, she ran to my mom and sed 'grandmama!! salam!!' and proceeded to salam my mom n went 'ok bye grandmama!!', looked at me and went 'ok jom!'

had no choice but to lug her with me. then at dinner, we were served by a man who was more on the feminine side and who had a liberal amount of make up on, making him (her) look white as a sheet. she-man shall i say? my body went stiff wen i heard the little person so innocently say 'eeee... takut... ape tu.. TAKUTT??' all the while pointing to this nice waiter (tress)'s face. I W-A-N-T-E-D T-O D-I-E! i looked over the table at jj who was looking down hard at the table, any harder n he'd probably tilt it over with telekinesis powers.

ive posted this video of her on my fb. enjoy!

p/s: blogspot seems to be a bit cuckoo since yesterday kn?

Old parrot

So my sister took her daughter out to the store to buy her formula the other day. in the car, this litte toddler started singing 'burung kakak tua'. she was singing out loud, confidently making a remix of burung kakak tua with the ibu song. so it went like, buruuuuun kakaaaaak tuaaaa!! hinggap ibuuuuuuuu ibuuuuuuuu, aku sudaaaah tuaaaa... u get the gist. kak in was laughing her head off in the car. her laughter turned to appologies and snorts of laughter when they went into the store and that little girl, thinking kakak tua was in fact just kakak, went up to a lady and went- 'hi kakak tua!'

Lina's Bridal Shower

Last weekend we had a bridal shower for a dear dear friend of mine- Lina. She's a spunky lass n keeping such a big secret from her was difficult for me, esp since i see her almost everyday for lunch. i had to keep reminding myself not to say anything that would give any indication of the party. alas, our efforts in keeping mum was wasted wen sumone dcided it would be better if the bride knew of our plans. haish! despite all the drama, i had crazy fun. went home with half my sanity intact and a voice that was going due to the shouting n screaming playing charades (my all time fav game!)- peppered with karaoke sessions. it was great as we were just a small bunch of close frens so singing our hearts out didnt render the occasional throws of rotten vegetables like it would have had we been singing to strangers.

lina's sister made her this little tutu that was so cute and she was twirling around like a loon and 'combing' the strands of net ribbon that made up the skirt. the theme was pink, white and black. and we had sum pretty fun games and we ate n ate and ate. i think most people went home with a full stomach and memories to last a lifetime. i know i did

preperations were done just the week before via FB je ok! we were discussing themes and such on fb throwing ideas back and forth and finally came up with somthing everyone could agree on. not as easy feat when u consider how many hard heads were at work here :)

some people voluntereed to prep sum stuff. her sisters did the deco and gift bags while i did the food. and burnt my hands in 3 places in the oven- lina are u reading this?? please capture ok. ahhaah!- the lenghts i go thru to feed the people i love...

we ended the day with a 'prize giving' ceremony ala kerajaan dpt award with lina handing out our goodie bags. i loved it! in keeping with the black white n pink theme, we were each given a reusable grocery bag- which i personally love coz i collect them in a bid to save the enviroment and to make up for all the hairsprays and air conditioners i use. inside thrs a clock from ikea that has been personalized by her sister in law n is so cute! with a lacey pink doilly in the middle and a small crown on the number 1. complete with jewels on the crown. cuteness overload!! and thr are sum chocs and a cute sewing kit tin and a glass with sleeves custom made by her sister.

i hope the blushing bride to be had as much fun as i did. i had fun cooking for the party eventho i burned my hand in three spot- did i mention this? lina are u capturing this??

Enjoy the photos that i conveniently stole from the bride to be's fb

Wedding Song

System's down- again...

I have found my wedding song. The perfect song. I have listen to it over and over and over again but it never gets boring. i especially love the piano beginning. i can imagine us walking into the hall while the beautiful music plays... i berangan that moment every morning in my car on the way to work wen i play the song over n over again. i kno its the perfect song coz despite having listened to it every single day for the past 3 months, i still get goosebumps when i hear it.

im still thinking of a song for our nikah montage tho... u kno the one they'll play at the reception. i love the slo mo parts like when the bride kisses her mom n sheds a tear or two. so sad. i cry watching wedding montage of people i dont kno. like at the office, ill be on youtube watching all these videos of strangers getting married and ill b crying like a loon staring at my laptop. ok pecah lobang- i shudnt b watching vids at the ofc. boss? ur not reading this rite? well u shudnt be- get back to work! eceh

so yeay dah ade perfect wedding song!! now i need to come up with a dress design.... and wedding favours... ok system is up n running again- bummer. back to work!

Keciwi

So im having a case of 'keciwi'. keciwi according to my mom is a greedy person who wants everything. so im down with that.

ok here's the thing. we have booked our wedding place n have paid the deposit and everything. i was plenty happy with our hall. its beautiful! then i met the hall of my dreams. and fell in love. i can almost hear it singing to me... u got it u got it bad... n yes.. i do have it bad..

now our hall is looking all plain and common next to this pretty pixie of a hall.. gimme!

and to make matters worse... its cheaper then our hall... ok cheaper if we take the buffet option but still cheaper...

but the downside is that it cannot accomodate our guests if we opt for a sit down dinner... i like a sit down dinner... not a fan of buffet style wedding whr ppl push n shove u for a piece of chicken i mean jeez woman, how long have u not eaten??

so all i can do now is salivate over pics of this gorgeous thing...

lets salivate togather??

doesnt this make swoon??

now here's our hall looking all manly and imposing... ok i should be thankful.. i am.. ill make it pretty.. like a girl hall... oh man... *shuts eye on pretty hall*

IMPORTANT!!

I saw this on the status of one of my friends on facebook. It was late and i was drifting in out of slumber. i have this habit of reading fb's statuses just before i go to bed. a poor way of compensating my lack of reading actual books nowadays. but i copied it and saved it in my msg draft so i could look into it in the morning.

I did it in the morning at the ofc thinking, its probably just a scam. but lo and behold, i followed the instructions given and was shocked to find this.

and i googled the isreali flag and this is what it looks like

makes me sick to the bone...

please please please do the same and and delete this from you computer..

krring krringggg!!

Remember the time when you dont have handphones... and you would need to use the landline to call people... and you'd fight over who gets to use it first... or who's hogging the line (always kak in)...

and parents (i presume) came up with horror stories of ghosts haunting kids who stayed up late at night to hang on the phone to avoid kene marah.

and you would memorize all of ur frens numbers by heart.. amazing how we were able to store so much numbers in our heads.. mom's, dad's, sister's, bro's, frens, bf's, grandparents, aunties, uncles, pizza hut pon.

then came the handphone

i swear i cannot for the life of me remember my bf's handphone number. i have tried and tried and tried to no avail.

my mom cant remember my dad's number to save her life but she can recite her bestfrens number (whom she hangs on the phone with on a daily basis) in a heartbeat.

can u imagine life without ur handphone??

i go nuts when my phone jams on me for 5 mins. id throw a bitchfest if i didnt have a phone at all!

this post is pointless. i was just thinkin of how i cannot rmember my bf's number dats all...

In the news

Have you guys heard about the sikh boy whose hair was cut while he was asleep at NS camp??

http://www.malaysianmirror.com/media-buzz-detail/6-nation/51628-sikh-boys-hair-cut-at-ns-camp-minister-orders-probe#

fyi, his hair has NEVER been cut since birth in accordance to the teachings of his religion. so i betcha it was pretty long- think rapunzel :)

what saddens me is that these ppl are being so disrespectful. we live in a pretty colourful community with many religions being practiced side by side.

Why cant we all be tolerant and harmonious and respectful of one another?
i mean the chinese and indian people could complain about our subuh azan as it would disrupt their sleep?? ok one guy in pantai dalam actually did but he retracted his statement and appologised and are now buddies with the imam- but thats a different matter.

its just really saddening that stuff like this is happening. i hope the culprit is caught and punished for his actions.

On another note- i really really REALLY dont feel like working today... so unfair dat some ppls got to cuti today.. booooo!!! i actually have LOTS to do but procrastinating seemed more fitting on a friday morning.

Hope u guys have a wonderful weekend ahead!!

shameless

So i went on The Stars website and read the story below.

http://thestar.com.my/news/story.asp?file=/2011/1/19/nation/7827132&sec=nation

How embarrassing is this for us malaysians?? i mean really, instead of helping the victims out, these people went crazy collecting coins like a kid collecting candies would on halloween. and those are just coins! i dread to think how it would be had those coins been notes.

Its times like this that i lose my pride as a malaysian.

Happy Wonderful 2011

Happy New Year everyone!! so how'd u guys spend ur new years? watching beautiful fireworks?? having a party with friends?? bbq with the family?? when the clock struck midnite, signaling the arrival of 1st Jan 2011, i was in bed. sleeping. freezing. cursing at the sound of fireworks. n getting pushed off the bed by my 2 year old niece who thinks she's the size of an elephant n need the entire queen sized bed to herself.

but it was for me a wonderful way to start the new year- with family. albeit family meant having a toe shoved into my mouth while she tossed and turned in bed. i actually miss smelling her baby hair while i slept. she does this thing whr she will sleep in the crook of ur body and try to come as close as she can- often almost pushing me off the bed.

on the day b4 the eve of new year, myself, along with jj n sabrina made our way up the windy road to cameron highlands whr my parents were waiting. they had come down from penang whr they were shopping for food. they hate cameron food so every year b4 our cameron trip they'll go up to penang to tapau delish food to be consumed during the trip.

and oh my god sabrina has such a mouth on her!! she will talk ur ear off!!! if u dont listen to her she'll shout n scream n hit u just to mke a point. n wen she gets excited she's kindda dangerous. i bathed her the othr day n bundled her up in a towel. and it was really cold n she was laughing real hard den all of a sudden she bit my neck. hard. it was soooo painful i let out a scream n put her down. of course i marah her. she's got ALOT of teeth now so it really really hurt! of course she turned on the water works and i got it fr my dad. seriously. she should bite him. id like to see him go all cool n 'shes just a baby' after dat! hehe

but all in all. i had fun. the trip was centred arnd cakbina and she is such a funny baby. mama na!!! whr tobeylee!??? whrr?!?!?! whr mama naa!?!?!? whr!!!! tobeyleee!!!!! -this happens evrytime we pass a giant strawberry up thr. which is abt every 2 mins. and she seemed to not like the butterflies we saw at the butterfly farm but she went on forever after dat looking for 'butter-tai'.

we saw a cute chipmunk in a cage running non stop and she got all excited coz she loves the chipmunk movie. she was doing the dance routine n everything then she suddenly got all mad n was scolding the chipmunk going 'chipmak no!! no chipmak!!' i asked her 'y r u scolding the chipmunk na?' she went 'chipmak tupah!!! no chipmak!!' turns out the chipmunks food, some corn kernals had spilled onto the floor under the cage. she got plenty mad with chipmak after dat.

oh and she also speaks in two volumes. whispers. and maximum volume. she shouts. she doesnt talk. even when its just the 2 of u in a quiet place. she shouts. ive gone half deaf since the trip. she also whines a lot to my mom. she'll go gemama!! (grandmama) tenok mama na!! (tengok mama na) wenever i annoy her.

all in all. i had a wonderful exhausting time. and it did get pretty cold in cameron much to my surprise. must be all dat rain. ill leave u guys with some photos. Happy New Year again! I hope 2011 will bring us all more happiness and rezeki and serenity.

hugss all round!
